Megadue presents 10ml of gas, a solo exhibition by Martina Pozzobon. The exhibition brings together a series of new and recent drawings. Pozzobon’s practice unfolds en plein intérieur. She draws from life, but indoors. Her collections of unusual objects—lighters, buttons, doll heads inherited from a restorer—become the protagonists of compositions that begin with direct observation and extend toward fiction. In the making of each image, the still life shifts, becoming something else. Objects change state and scale, entering into relation with human and animal figures, often self-portraits, generating a language that moves between the everyday and the visionary. The rooms Pozzobon draws function as soundless theatres: enclosed spaces that oscillate between captivity and freedom. The pencil is a quick tool, used as a form of visual writing halfway between diary note and storyboard. Through the act of drawing, objects come to life, charged with memory, producing minor situations and encounters that are ironic or absurd. Like the space that hosts them, these interiors hold their own condition—places that retain life and images, even while the world outside is on fire.

Megadue presenta 10ml di gas, personale di Martina Pozzobon. La mostra raccoglie una serie di disegni nuovi e realizzati negli ultimi anni. Il lavoro di Pozzobon si sviluppa en plein intérieur. Disegna dal vero ma all’interno. Le sue collezioni di oggetti anomali – accendini, bottoni, teste di bambole ereditate da una restauratrice – diventano protagoniste di figurazioni che partono dall’osservazione del reale e si estendono verso la finzione. Nella costruzione delle immagini la natura morta si sposta, diventa altrove. Gli oggetti cambiano stato e scala, entrano in relazione con figure umane e animali, spesso autoritratte, generando un linguaggio che unisce quotidiano e visione. Le stanze disegnate da Pozzobon funzionano come teatri silenziosi: spazi chiusi che alternano forme di cattività e di libertà. La matita è uno strumento rapido, usato come mezzo di scrittura visiva a metà tra la nota diaristica e lo storyboard. Nel gesto gli oggetti si animano, si caricano di memoria e producono situazioni minori, incontri ironici o assurdi. Come lo spazio che li accoglie, questi interni hanno una condizione propria. Luoghi che trattengono vita e immagini, anche quando fuori il mondo è in fiamme.
